Engineering and Fabrication Capabilities

Ension possesses in-depth mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering and fabrication capabilities with particular expertise in products destined for production using plastics. We leverage our broad experience in computational fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mass transfer in addition to finite element analysis stress analyses. Our engineering tools include use of the SolidWorks suite of computer aided engineering software.

Ension is structured around a vision of rapid prototyping, and testing of design iterations. Our experiences continually demonstrated the need to move concepts into physical and testable prototypes efficiently and cost-effectively. Ension compresses the design cycle and the cost-to-prototype by leveraging our full CNC fabrication capabilities, in addition to traditional machining and model making. Ension also has the ability to produce low volume injection molds and injection molded parts suitable for prototype development.
